Recognise the problem

When does a drain need repair?

Damage like this usually shows up on a camera inspection, often after repeated blockages or other warning signs.

  1. 01

    Cracked pipes

Breaks in the pipe wall that leak or catch waste.

  2. 02

    Displaced joints

Sections that have moved out of line.

  3. 03

    Collapsed sections

Parts of the pipe that have caved in.

  4. 04

    Root-related damage

Defects opened up by roots growing inside.

  5. 05

    Deteriorated pipework

Older pipes, such as pitch fibre, that have worn or deformed.

Start with the diagnosis

Know the damage before choosing the repair.

A CCTV inspection shows the type of damage, exactly where it is and how much of the pipe is affected.

With that, we can recommend a repair that fixes the problem — not one that guesses at it.

Repair options

Different damage, different repairs.

The right option depends on the pipe’s material and condition.

  1. 01

    Pipe relining

A resin liner repairs suitable pipes from the inside, with less digging.

    Cracks and open joints

  2. 02

    Pitch fibre repair

Repair or replacement of deformed or worn pitch fibre pipework.

  3. 03

    Excavation and replacement

The damaged section is dug out and replaced with new pipe.

    Collapses and severe damage

Repair from within

Often, the ground can stay as it is.

Where the pipe is suitable, relining repairs it through an existing access point. A resin liner seals cracks and gaps from the inside, avoiding the need to dig along the drain run.

When excavation is needed

Sometimes digging is the right answer.

No-dig repair isn’t always possible. If a section has collapsed or the pipe is too badly damaged to line, the reliable fix is to excavate and replace it.

We’ll tell you plainly when that is the case, and keep the work as contained as we can.

Repeated blockages, smells, damp ground or slow drainage can all suggest damage. A CCTV inspection confirms whether a repair is needed.

No. Suitable pipes can often be relined from the inside. Collapsed or badly damaged sections may still need excavating.

Relining installs a new lining inside the existing pipe. Replacement removes the damaged section and lays new pipe in its place.

Yes. We repair or replace pitch fibre pipework depending on its condition.

Yes. We explain the recommended repair and quote before any work goes ahead.
