When you use the website
Like any website, technical information is processed so pages can be delivered to you and the site kept secure. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested, which may appear in server logs kept by our hosting provider.
We also remember your cookie choices on your device. See our Cookie Policy.

How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry
- to give you a quote or the information you asked for
- to arrange and carry out drainage work you request
- to contact you about that work
- to deal with customer service questions
- to run the website and keep it secure
- to meet our legal obligations
We don’t use your details to send marketing emails, texts or newsletters.
Our legal reasons for using it
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for using personal information. We rely on:
- Contract — when we need your details to take steps you’ve asked for before agreeing work, such as giving a quote, or to carry out work you’ve agreed.
- Legitimate interests — to run and secure the website and to handle general questions, where this doesn’t override your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must keep or share information by law.
- Consent — for optional cookies and similar storage. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information where it’s needed to run the business or the website, for example with the companies that host the website and send email on our behalf. We don’t sell your information. We may also share information where the law requires it.
We’ll update this policy if we start using other services that handle your information.
Information processed outside the UK
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we’ll make sure appropriate safeguards are in place where the law requires them.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the reason we collected it, including for customer service, the work agreed, accounting and legal requirements. When it’s no longer needed, it’s deleted or securely disposed of.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and the legal reason we use your information, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your information
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- ask us to limit how we use it
- object to how we use it
- ask for it to be transferred to you or someone else
- withdraw your consent, where we rely on consent
To make a request, email info@fedurcodrainage.co.uk.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk.
